Sonic Acts in Amsterdam

I was in Amsterdam from Feb 19th to the 21st for a workshop, spatial audio installation and performance as a part of Sonic Acts' Biennial Sound Art Exhibitons. My workshop was on Ciat Lonbarde Paper Circuits and my commissioned spatial work was titled "Information Retreival and the Cybernetics of Afrofuturism"

"Information Adjustment and the Cybernetics of Afrofuturism by Femi Shonuga-Fleming moves like a river – full of slow eddies and sudden surges – through space and imagined moss floors. The work traces nonlinear histories of Black and Indigenous organic technology, grounding bodies through deep listening as ritual. Drums pulse; jazz loosens into continuous kaizen, transcendence accumulating through interruption and return.
