The speaker stack is a representation, a totem, a shrine, a ritual object in translating sound.
Each layer of the speaker stack directly correlates to its own architecture and program.
It is clear, the speaker stack is the temple for the voice.
This is the infrastructural investigation of the speaker stack. Pulling from the timelines of sound system culture and hifi audio, The materials found embedded in construction sites, self balancing pulleys and monolithic weight, glowing horns and towering sound project the voice of infrastructural depression surrounding me, blaring songs from the motor city.
